Directions to Drake's Lakeside Cabins
Before you type in Drake’s Lakeside Cabins’ address at 4366 Lake Shore Drive, Diamond Point, NY, into your favorite GPS navigation app, take a quick look at the routes below to check out some options.
Keep in mind that 9N is also referred to as Lake Shore Drive, and Barkeater Trail is the private road where you’ll find our cabins. Our address is also in Bolton Landing. If your GPS fails, the key is to look for I-87 (the Northway) or State Hwy 9 and follow them either North or South to Lake George.
From the South:
Take I-87 to NY-912Q (Exit 22) in Lake George. Then take a left heading north on
State Hwy 9N N/Lake Shore Drive to Barkeater Trail in Diamond Point. You can also take State Hwy 9N, which runs parallel to I-87 for a more relaxed drive.
From the North:
From most northern starting points, the best route is to get on I-87 S and take it to Bolton Landing-Riverbank Road in Warrensburg (Exit 24). Follow Bolton Landing-Riverbank Road and State Hwy 9S/Lake Shore Drive to Barkeater Trail in Diamond Point.
From the East:
When coming into New York from the East, the easiest route is to pick up NY-149 in Fort Ann. Once you get closer to Lake George, you can take a right on State Hwy 9N N/Lake Shore Drive to Barkeater Trail in Diamond Point. From the East, the key is to pick up 9N or 9S, no matter what route you choose.
From the West:
From the west, you can choose from a scenic route or highway driving. One route that makes for a relaxing ride with some spectacular views is to follow NY 8N through Speculator and Johnstown, coming into Lake George from the North.
The quickest highway routes from the west are I-90 or I-88 East to the nearest access point to I-87. Then follow the North/South directions depending on where you get on the Northway.
